At the pump costs of hydrogen fuel in India in 2030 and 2050

Abstract:
Renewable electrolysis hydrogen (“green” hydrogen) offers significant climate benefits, but its uptake in India’s road transport sector will depend partly on consumer price. This webinar presented findings from a study estimating the at-the-pump costs of both green hydrogen and “blue” hydrogen made from natural gas combined with carbon capture and storage in 2030 and 2050. The hydrogen is assumed to be delivered via pipeline and the cities of Ahmedabad, Mumbai, and New Delhi serve as case studies.
