The Government of India along with the Indian automotive industry had coherently aligned their objectives for the future of the automobile industry through the Automotive Mission Plan 2016-26 (AMP 2026).

The Draft Bihar Electric Vehicle Policy 2019 aim at the creation of manufacturing ecosystem for e-vehicles in the State, fulfil Sustainable Development Goals in the transport system and make Bihar the most preferred investment destination for EV Sector.

This policy was published by the Government of Tamil Nadu with the objective to create an enabling environment to provide private and public charging infrastructure in the State.

The Transport Department, Government of Kerala issued an order approving the Policy on Electric Vehicles for the State of Kerala on 10th March 2019.

Based on the recent techno-economic developments in the EV sector and the vision of GoI, Government of Maharashtra formulated a policy for promotion of electric mobility sector in Maharashtra.

Government with a view to making Andhra Pradesh one of the major hubs for electric mobility introduced the “Electric Mobility Policy 2018-23” on 8th June 2018.

The Uttar Pradesh Electric Vehicles Manufacturing and Mobility Policy 2018 provides attractive fiscal and non-fiscal to attract investments to promote Electric mobility in the state. The policy also promotes early adoption of EVs in the state as well as create demand in the sector.

Government of Karnataka with the intention to make Bengaluru the EV capital of India, formulated this policy to enable the growth of the electric mobility sector in the state.

The Council of Ministers, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (in short “GNCTD”), approved the Delhi Electric Vehicles Policy vide Cabinet Decision No. 2796 dated 23-12-2019 on 07-08-2020.

The Mission, housed in NlTl Aayog and served by the Transport (infrastructure Connectivity) Vertical of NlTl Aayog, rolled out this notification, indicating the terms of reference of the mission.
