Based on the recent techno-economic developments in the EV sector and the vision of GoI, Government of Maharashtra formulated a policy for promotion of electric mobility sector in Maharashtra.

Government with a view to making Andhra Pradesh one of the major hubs for electric mobility introduced the “Electric Mobility Policy 2018-23” on 8th June 2018.

The policy outlines special incentives and concessions to attract investments in EV manufacturing capacity, EV battery manufacturing and assembling capacity, and the development of charging and swapping infrastructure for EVs in Uttarakhand.

This notification of the Central Government was an amendment to the FAME India [Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of (Hybrid &) Electric Vehicles in India] scheme notification issued vide S.O. 830(E) dated 13" March 2015 and subsequent extensions of the scheme notified vide S.O. 1055(E) dated 30" March 2017 & S.O. No. 3013(E) dated 12" September 2017. 

The Ministry of Finance circulated this memorandum to All Ministries/Departments of the Government of India, encouraging Ministries/Departments to switch over to electrical mobility from petrol and diesel cars.

This tariff order was released by the Madhya Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission

This Tariff Order was released by the Meghalaya State Electricity Regulatory Commission for determination of Retail Tariff for 2018-19 for distribution and retail supply of power in the State of Meghalaya.

This amendment was ordered on 24th August 2018 on the request of VC& MD, NREDCAP (who signed an MoU with Energy Efficiency Services Ltd.,(EESL), Joint Venture Company of Government of India/PSUs for the supply of 10,000 electrical vehicles under lease arrangement) so that the applicable incentives can also be made available for setting up of charging infrastructure or hydrogen generation and refuelling stations for Government Departments/undertakings along with an extension in the exemption of registration fee and road tax until 2024.

This Policy Contribution investigates the position of the European automotive industry and envisages that the industry will have to move into higher gear to meet the global – notably Chinese – competition.
