Andhra Pradesh Electric Mobility Policy 2018 Amendment

Abstract:

Government with a view to making Andhra Pradesh one of the major hubs for electric mobility introduced the “Electric Mobility Policy 2018-23” after extensive consultations with stakeholders, Industrial Associations and Industrial experts. This Policy aims to support every aspect of Electric Mobility and accelerating adoption of Electric Vehicles that eventually lead to a healthier climate.

This amendment was ordered on the request of VC& MD, NREDCAP (who signed an MoU with Energy Efficiency Services Ltd.,(EESL), Joint Venture Company of Government of India/PSUs for the supply of 10,000 electrical vehicles under lease arrangement) so that the applicable incentives can also be made available for setting up of charging infrastructure or hydrogen generation and refuelling stations for Government Departments/undertakings along with an extension in the exemption of registration fee and road tax until 2024.
