The study Public Electric Vehicle Fleet Charging Stations, conducted by the Center for Study of Science, Technology and Policy (CSTEP) in the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) limits, showed that the electric vehicle (EV) penetration in the coming days will increase the demand for EV charging stations. The study has been restricted to public transportation such as auto-rickshaws, cabs and buses
New protocol to address privacy issues in electric vehicles

Different types of messaging and charging infrastructure will be established in public places and they could be prone to security and privacy concerns. Researchers at the National Institute of Technology Andhra Pradesh, working with an international team, have developed a protocol to deal with them. They worked with colleagues from IIIT Hyderabad, IIIT Naya Raipur, Kyungpook National University, South Korea, and the University of Wollongong.
BSES ties up with startup to install subsidised EV charging stations in Delhi

The automaker also recently raised a massive investment from TPG Rise Climate. The investment firm has announced that it is investing $1 billion or INR 7500 crore in the Indian carmaker.
NHAI setting up EV charging network along national highways

Maharashtra plans consultations with stakeholders on seamless implementation of EV policy

The Maharashtra government had in early July announced its new electric vehicle (EV) policy with an aim to have a 10 per cent share of the electric vehicles in total registrations by 2025. The state government also wants to achieve a 25 per cent EV share in public transport in Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad and Nashik.

Demand for electric vehicles for commercial use is estimated to increase 15 times in the next six months, driven by the rise in fuel prices, incentives rolled out by the central and state governments and renewed emphasis by ecommerce companies to electrify their last-mile delivery fleets. Both central and state governments have announced incentives which have made electric vehicles a lot more affordable, while with low interest rates, EMIs have become smaller.
