Abstract:
The transition to electric vehicles is widely recognized as necessary for air quality and climate change mitigation, and governments at all levels have supported the early stages of the conversion with incentives, regulations, and supporting policy. This paper analyses research on the growth in light-duty electric vehicles and charging infrastructure to discern emerging best practices and future developments in charging deployment. The report summarizes research and trends in the top electric vehicle markets around the world, identifying opportunities for city governments to support the continued growth of their charging infrastructure and the electric vehicle market.
