Abstract:

Government of Odisha has framed a draft "Odisha Electric Vehicle Policy, 2021" to build Odisha a model State in promotion of EVs through adoption, adaptation , research & development apart from facilitating growth in employment for circulation among the stake holders and general public.

The primary aim of the Odisha Electric Vehicle policy, 2020 is to accelerate the pace of adoption of electric vehicles in the vehicle segments especially in the category of two wheelers, three wheelers and LMVs .The policy shall focus to drive rapid adoption of Battery Electric Vehicles to contribute a substantial percentage of all new vehicles in the years to come and bring about improvement in the air quality in Odisha in general and all major cities in particular.
