Charge, set, go! Electrifying urban transport in Germany and Poland
Publication Year: 2021
Author(s): Wappelhorst S, Morrison K
Abstract:
Decarbonizing road transport through the electrification of the urban vehicle fleet is part of national and local strategies to reduce air pollution and mitigate climate change. Yet urban mobility cannot be reshaped without continuous collaboration and exchange on best practices, good solutions, and feasible approaches across borders, especially within the European Union. This study has been developed as part of the Int-E-Grid Powering Electromobility in Poland and Germany project implemented by Forum Energii together with the Electric Vehicles Promotion Foundation and Agora Verkehrswende. The project was part of the European Climate Initiative (EUKI), whose overarching goal is to foster climate cooperation within the European Union to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
