Abstract:

The Government of India launched the National Electric Mobility Mission Plan (NEMMP), 2020 to enhance national fuel security and provide affordable and environment-friendly transportation in the Country. Under this mission ‘Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric and Hybrid Vehicle in India’ (FAME) Scheme Phase 1 and 2 was launched by Department of Heavy Industry (DHI) to promote faster transformation from Internal Combustion Engines (ICEs) to Electric Vehicles (EVs).
