The International Energy Agency (IEA) wrote in their Global Energy Review for 2020 that post COVID-19 "the rebound in emissions may be larger than the decline unless the economy is restarted with cleaner infrastructure".

In this Interview, Mr Chetan Maini shares his thoughts on the following:

1. What policymakers could do to additionally support the demand and supply side of electric mobility domain in India now?

2. What are the unique benefits of "Battery Swapping System" in the Indian context?

3. What insights should be gathered for Indian policymakers to create a 'Workforce' sufficiently talented to participate in the value chain of electric vehicles that is vastly different from that of conventional vehicles?

4. What is the role of research in creating the clean, connected and shared mobility ecosystem in India?
