A global snapshot of the air pollution-related health impacts of transportation sector emissions in 2010 and 2015
2019
Author(s): Anenberg S, Miller J, Henze D, Minjares R
Estimates the impacts of transportation sector emissions on ambient PM2.5 and provides a detailed picture of the global, regional, and local health effects
The European vehicle market statistics pocketbook offers a statistical portrait of passenger car and light commercial vehicle fleets in the European Union, updated annually. The emphasis is on vehicle technologies and emissions of greenhouse gases and other air pollutants. Brief introductions to each chapter note important trends and provide selected comparisons to other large vehicle markets. In 2017, new car registrations in the EU increased to 15.2 million, the highest level since 2007.
This report assesses progress in 2018 toward implementing the Climate and Clean Air Coalition’s global strategy to introduce low-sulfur fuels and cleaner diesel vehicles.

2017
Author(s): Comer B, Olmer N, Mao X, Roy B, Rutherford D
An updated global inventory of black carbon emissions from the global shipping sector with several recommendations on how to reduce black carbon emissions from ships.
The annual European Vehicle Market Statistics Pocketbook offers a statistical portrait of passenger car, light commercial vehicle, and heavy-duty vehicle fleets in the European Union since 2001, with emphasis on vehicle technologies, fuel consumption, and emissions of greenhouse gases and other air pollutants.
Global baseline assessment of compliance and enforcement programs for vehicle emissions and energy efficiency
2017
Author(s): Yang Z, Muncrief R, Bandivadekar A
Survey-based summary of regulatory agencies’ programs to monitor and enforce compliance with vehicle emission and fuel consumption standards.
Greenhouse gas emissions from global shipping, 2013–2015
2017
Author(s): Olmer N, Comer B, Roy B, Mao X, Rutherford D
Describes trends in global ship activity and emissions for the years 2013 to 2015 and finds that emissions generally increased over this period, with efficiency improvements more than offset by increases in activity.
Financing the transition to soot-free urban bus fleets in 20 megacities
2017
Author(s): Miller J, Minjares R, Dallmann T, Jin L
Addresses the opportunities for facilitating, and the barriers to financing, the transition to soot-free urban bus fleets in 20 megacities.
2017 Global update: light-duty vehicle greenhouse gas and fuel economy standards
2017
Author(s): Yang Z, Bandivadekar A
Examines how the greenhouse gas and fuel economy standards have changed over time, how the auto industry in different regions has reacted, and discusses how the standards may evolve in the future.
