Abstract:
Parashar from GIZ-Supported Integrated Sustainable Urban Transport Systems for Smart Cities (Smart-SUT) explained useful SOP strategies for the bus transport sector facing post-COVID 19 lockdowns including operators, authorities, workers, infrastructure, and passengers. The document aims to provide essential mobility services post lockdown, maintain desirable social distancing between the passengers inside buses, at bus shelters/terminals and interchange, safety for on-board crew i.e., driver and conductor as well as at depot & terminals, and to establish the trust of the passengers on public transport as safe mobility choice.
