Abstract:
This study explores the cooling strategies and power ratings of electric vehicle motors, highlighting the importance of effective thermal management to prevent motor failure. The study reviews various cooling approaches, including air, liquid, and hybrid cooling, and their capabilities in dissipating heat during motor operation. It also examines the impact of power ratings on motor performance, determining maximum power output with higher ratings. The article emphasizes the need for careful selection of the appropriate cooling strategy and power rating for electric vehicle motors to maximize efficiency and durability. This insight is crucial for electric vehicle manufacturers and designers, providing guidance in designing and selecting motors that meet modern transportation demands and contribute to a sustainable future.
