Abstract:
This fourth edition of the ICCT’s Global Automaker Rating report assesses how the world’s largest automakers stack up in the transition to zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs)—that is, battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and fuel-cell electric vehicles (FCEVs). Focused on the top 22 light-duty vehicle manufacturers in the world by sales in 2025, we use 10 custom-built metrics aligned under three pillars to reflect how automakers are navigating the ZEV transition by scaling up production, improving performance, and aligning with forward-looking regulations to best position them for the long-term.
