Exemption to Battery Operated Transport Vehicles from Requirement of Permits

Abstract:
The Central Government, through this notification, ordered that the provisions of sub-section (1) of section 66 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 shall not apply to Battery Operated Transport Vehicles and Transport Vehicles running on Ethanol and Methanol fuels types, used, or to be used, for the purpose of carriage of goods or passengers as mentioned in this document.
