Abstract:
The study introduces a new multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) model that uses a rough extension of the Ordinal Priority Approach (OPA) to determine the importance of users' perspectives on Electric Vehicle (EV) purchases. The model uses an aggregated rough linguistic matrix for precise and unbiased calculation of interval values, and incorporates nonlinear aggregation functions to accommodate decision makers' risk attitudes. A large-scale post-EV test drive survey validates the model's efficacy, and sensitivity analysis confirms its robustness. The results show that vehicle-related characteristics outweigh economic and environmental attributes in the decision-making process, highlighting the importance of reliability in EV purchase decisions.
