Electric Power Train of M and N Category Vehicles - Specific Requirements

Abstract:
1.1 This standard specifies safety requirements for electric power train used in M and N categories motor vehicles, as defined in IS 14272.
1.2 It also specifies the safety requirements with respect to the rechargeable electrical energy storage system (REESS), of motor vehicles of categories M and N, as defined in IS 14272.
NOTE - Section 2 of this standard does not apply to a battery whose primary use is to supply power for starting the engine and/or lighting and/or other vehicle auxiliaries systems.
