Company as a Pioneer for Electric Mobility

Abstract:
This fact sheet documents the state of electrification in the vehicle fleet and in new registrations in Germany. It analyzes what role commercial fleets can play in the transition to electromobility. The data show that companies with their vehicle fleets and their procurement practices - supported by measures by the Federal Government - play a key role in the vehicle market and can pave the way for electric mobility. The proportion of electrical goods among commercial owners is already ten times higher than among private owners, but overall it is still at a low level. In the case of new registrations, the proportion of electrical equipment has recently increased significantly. Political incentives can further intensify the market ramp-up in the coming months.
