Remote sensing of heavy-duty vehicle emissions in Europe
Publication Year: 2022
Author(s): Bakhshmand SK, Mulholland E, Tietge U, Rodríguez F
Abstract:
To better understand the disparity between emissions measured during type approval
and real-world emissions, and identify the presence of high-emitting trucks and buses
in the EU-27, this study uses data collected from a variety of remote sensing campaigns
to provide a comprehensive analysis of the level of real-world emissions from trucks and
buses around Europe. The study aims to provide an insight into the average
level of emissions of trucks and buses and identify thresholds for high-emitting vehicles.
