The aim of this paper is to discuss different techniques/methods available currently to detect electric and combustion vehicles (EVs) and their comparative study to find the superior method of detection.
Automated Electric Transportation (AET) is an innovative concept that aims to integrate energy, vehicle, highway, and communication infrastructures. It provides an electrified transportation system to support in-motion energy transfer through wireless charging of inductive coupling in the highway.
This research provides a case study for Istanbul using real-time global positioning data from fossil-fuel taxis currently operational in the city. This case study tests the performance of the proposed infrastructure, determined by the framework, by simulating a taxi fleet of the same size as the one currently operating in Istanbul.

Personal transport is essential in our society, and the 2020 pandemic has reinforced this situation. At the same time, transportation contributes to local emissions, which need to be reduced in the face of climate change. Changing from vehicles with internal combustion engines to light electric vehicles could be one promising approach.
The usage of shared e-scooters, dockless e-bikes, and docked bicycles are correlated with weather conditions to examine the relative impact on each mode, precisely the number of trips taken, their duration, and distance.
