Ecodriving is generally portrayed as a cost-effective action for less fuel use and CO2 emissions. This means that the initial investment into training and/or technology pays back quickly via fuel cost and maintenance savings and via public benefits like road safety and climate mitigation.
Project managers of bus fleet modernization programs need a structured plan that breaks down the program into manageable components and phases. Project elements like activities, outputs, timeframes and monitoring measures should be included in such a plan.

Achieving the global climate change policy target to limit global warming to less than 2 Degrees Celsius requires a significant increase of ambition to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In 2020, all countries are called upon to submit stronger Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC).
This report presents the results of a research survey on the impact of ride hailing services on travel characteristics in Nairobi, Kenya. It is part of an international study conducted in partnership between GIZ, the World Resources Institute (WRI) Ross Centre, and the University of California (UC) Davis.
Electro-mobility and New Energy Vehicles (NEV) are important elements of the Chinese government’s strategy to promote climate-friendly and sustainable transport. In particular, the promotion of public transport and the adoption of New Energy Buses play a central role in realizing those ambitions.
Building on existing transport-related roadmaps, calls for action, discussion papers and research findings, GIZ devised six essential recommendations for policymakers and other officials dealing with climate action and ambition in the transport sector.
