Abstract:
This report presents the results of a research survey on the impact of ride hailing services on travel characteristics in Nairobi, Kenya. It is part of an international study conducted in partnership between GIZ, the World Resources Institute (WRI) Ross Centre, and the University of California (UC) Davis.
It provides insights into the travel characteristics of Nairobi residents, the types of ride hailing services and reasons for their usage, as well as the impact of ride hailing services on other travel modes, including public transport. The survey captures a total of 2540 respondents who reside or work within the Nairobi Metropolitan Area and was carried out in December 2019.
