This document present as a notification by Central Government to amend the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989 with the insertion of certain rules/emission standards for the emission of smoke and vapour from agriculture tractors, power tillers, construction equipment vehicles and combine harvesters driven by dual-fuel diesel with Compressed Natural Gas or Bio-Compressed Natural Gas or Liquefied Natural Gas engines.

The Central Government proposed this draft document of certain rules further to amend the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, with the insertion of Petrol/Compressed Natural Gas/Liquefied Petroleum Gas Driven Vehicles Manufactured as Per [Bharat Stage – IV or Bharat Stage –VI] Norms on 18th July 2019.

The Central Government, through this notification, ordered Exemption to Battery Operated Transport Vehicles from Requirement of Permits on 18th October 2018.

The first meeting of the committee to develop electric vehicle and station standards was held on 4th December 2017 at New Delhi under the chairmanship of Member (Planning), CEA. 

This standard prescribes the specifications for performance and safety for DC charging stations for EV and HEV application for Indian conditions.

Through this resolution document, exercising its powers conferred under section 3(3) of Electricity Act, 2003, the Central Government notified the revised Tariff Policy on 28th January 2016.

The Central Government, exercising its powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 16, read with section 17 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016 (11 of 2016), after consulting the Bureau of Indian Standards, made this order called the Automobile Wheel Rim Component (Quality Control) Order, 2020 on 21st September 2020.
