Abstract:

The webinar discussed the global research by ICCT called Vision 2025, which examines the implications of supply-side regulations on zero emission vehicle adoption and CO2 emissions from road transport. The panelists explored the transition to electric vehicles in India, the challenges and opportunities involved, and the potential of electric vehicles and alternative energy sources in the country. The discussion also touched on strategies to encourage corporate adoption of electric vehicles in the freight sector and the need for revisiting the National Urban Transport Policy of 2006.
