Abstract:

This document, Central Motor Vehicles (10th Amendment) Rules, 2018, was issued by the Central Government in the exercise of the powers conferred by section 64 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (59 of 1988) with the insertion of the rules regarding Background colour of registration plates for Electric vehicles. 

According to this amendment, In the case of Battery Operated Vehicles, the registration mark shall be exhibited in Yellow colour on Green background for transport vehicles and for all other cases, in White colour on Green background.
