Abstract:

The paper analyses and reviews some of peculiar technical challenges which industry is presently facing while moving to more electrification of energy conversion systems in mobile platforms like E-Mobility  and recent developments reported in different journals/literature. Mobile platforms influence the quality of modern life covering a broad range of applications from small portable electric devices to drones to robots to electric transportation. The Electrified mobile energy systems needs minimal or no access to power grids to achieve long operating time, charging ultrafast/during motion as well as advanced battery technologies despite their wide range power-ratings and diverse applications. As mobile platforms are space/shape/weight-constrained, their onboard energy technologies like power electronic converters and magnetic components need be compact and lightweight demonstrating improved efficiency and cost effectiveness as to traditional designs. These systems should also demonstrate improved efficiency and cost-effectiveness compared to traditional designs.
