Abstract:

In order to analyze the legal questions relating to the use of scan vehicles in Germany, the authors commissioned the law firm Becker Büttner Held to prepare an expert opinion. In essence, it shows that digital parking space controls are compatible with both road traffic law and data protection law. In this policy paper the results are summarized, classified and shown where legal changes are necessary.
