Abstract:

The ZeEUS e-bus report provides  a comprehensive overview of the European market for electric buses.The ZeEUS project focuses on:  Plug-in hybrid buses (PHEV), Full battery electric buses (BEV), and Battery trolley buses also referred to as dual-mode trolley buses. The ZeEUS project focuses its activities on high-capacity buses. The UITP Secretariat’s definition of ‘high capacity’ is a bus that can carry at least 55 passengers both standing and sitting. Proven commercial solutions for smaller electric buses (minibuses and midibuses) do exist in the market and are hence excluded from this publication.
