Electrification is a key solution to growing levels of vehicle pollution in metropolises and is of particular importance to India today.

The roads have been cleared for a surge in two- and three-wheeled electric vehicles (EVs). On August 12, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) published a notification allowing the sale and registration of EVs without batteries.

Heavy-duty electric trucks are a recognised technology, capable of reducing the transportation sector’s greenhouse gas emissions. This first-of-its-kind report proposes a framework for prioritising US and Canadian regions for electric truck deployments based on differences in key enabling traits.
