Optimal Fleet Deployment for Electric Vehicle Sharing Systems With the Consideration of Demand Uncertainty

2021

Author(s): Lu C-C, Yan S, Li H-C, Diabat A, Wang H-T

This study addresses the optimal allocation of a fleet of plug-in electric vehicles (EVs) to the stations of an EV-sharing system. The objective is to maximize the profit of the system operator. A multi-layer time–space network flow technique is adopted to describe the movement of EVs in the system.

Optimal Location of EV Charging Stations in a Neighborhood Considering a Multi-Objective Approach

2021

Author(s): Bitencourt L, Abud TP, Dias BH, Borba BSMC, Maciel RS, Quirós-Tortós J

This study has proposed a methodology to optimally locate charging stations (CSs) through a multi-objective approach, by minimizing the electrical losses and the charging zone center deviation. It applies a hierarchical clustering method to define CS service zones, considering both technical and mobility aspects.

Localization of Charging Stations for Electric Vehicles Using Genetic Algorithms

2021

Author(s): Jordán J, Palanca J, del Val E, Julian V, Botti V

This work addresses the problem of optimizing the placement of new infrastructures for EV charging. The electric vehicle is gradually being introduced in cities. The impact of this introduction is less due, among other reasons, to the lack of charging infrastructure necessary to satisfy the demand.
