City Link launches electric cargo vehicles in Bengaluru

City Link Portal Pvt Ltd, a tech-enabled within city logistics start-up, has taken delivery of its first set of electric cargo vehicles (EV) from Mahindra and Mahindra. City Link planned its 'Think Green. Think EV' initiative late last year and has been working with the EV Ecosystem ever since.

EESL to set-up 500 more EV charging stations in FY21

Power PSUs' joint venture EESL plans to install at least 500 more electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in the country during fiscal 2020-21. The joint venture of PSUs under the Ministry of Power, the Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) has undertaken the project to boost the e-mobility ecosystem in India. EESL also intends to set up 'Carbon Neutral Charging Stations' by bundling solar rooftop, battery based charging stations and battery swapping stations.

MG Motor, Tata Power install Coimbatore's first superfast EV charging station

MG Motor and Tata Power have installed a 60 kW Superfast public EV charging station in Coimbatore, the first in the city and also Tamil Nadu. The latest public EV charging station is available to all vehicles compatible with CCS (Combined Charging System) fast-charging standard and is in line with MGs commitment to provide a 5-way charging ecosystem to its customers. The initiative is part of MGs recent partnership with Tata Power for the deployment of 50 kW and 60 kW DC Superfast Charging Stations across India.

Indian Oil to procure 15 fuel cell electric buses for Delhi: To produce hydrogen fuel at Faridabad

To give a fillip to India’s push to usher in a hydrogen-based mobility solutions ecosystem, Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) plans to buy 15 buses that can run on hydrogen fuel. The country’s largest oil refiner and fuel retailer is also setting up a facility at its Faridabad research and development (R&D) centre to produce hydrogen to run the buses. This venture is being supported partially by the hydrogen corpus fund of the Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

EESL tenders for 500 electric vehicles under ADB financing

The Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) has issued a tender, inviting bids from eligible vendors for the procurement of 500 electric vehicles (EVs). The vehicles will be procured in two categories: the first lot will include 200 sedan EVs with a range of at least 180 km, and the second lot will consist of 300 vehicles with a length of less than four meters and a range of at least 250 km.

RERC sets tariff of INR 6 per unit applicable on EV charging stations

The Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission (RERC) has released a draft suo-motu order on the matter of charging infrastructure, tariffs, and other regulatory issues for electric vehicles (EVs) on December 21, 2020. RERC has declared the applicable tariffs on the EV public charging stations (PCS) of INR 6 per unit used under two categories; PCS LT-8 and HT-6. The above tariff applicable to PCS would also be applicable to EV Battery Charging Stations and EV Battery Swapping Stations.

JanaJal Water on Wheels (WOW), an IoT-based, three-wheeled electric vehicle developed by Noida-based JanaJal to deliver safe drinking water to the doorsteps of households, has been recommended by the Ministry of Jal Shakti to State governments as one of the five innovative field-level solutions that can help deliver the National Jal Jeevan Mission drinking water program to the masses.
